Meet Debra Hay
Founder & Principal Consultant
Debra Hay is a seasoned educator, equity advocate, and special education leader with over 27 years of experience. She founded The Heart of Learning to empower families and schools through inclusive, values-driven consulting.
Known for her fierce advocacy and compassionate leadership, Debra bridges the gap between systems and people—ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and set up to thrive.
Her work is grounded in legal expertise, strategic planning, and a deep belief in the power of connection. Whether facilitating IEPs, coaching teams, or designing outreach rooted in Universal Design, Debra leads with heart, hope, and a relentless commitment to belonging.
